| Our DVD disks are created using DVD-R disks because this is the DVD disk format that is most compatible with home DVD players. All of our DVD disks are NTSC format, which is the standard format for DVD disks here in the United States. If you are not in the United States or Canada, please be sure that your DVD player can play NTSC format DVD disks before ordering. If you are in the U.K., NTSC format disks should play properly in your DVD player. DVD disks will also play in a computer that has a drive capable of reading DVD disks. Our CD disks will work only on a computer, but will not play in any type of home DVD player that we are aware of. All video files on our CDs are recorded in Microsoft Windows Media Format, and should be playable on any computer that uses Windows-98, Windows-ME, Windows-2000, Windows-XP or Windows 2003, Windows Vista, or Windows 7.
Customers ordering CD disks should have a reasonably fast computer, and avoid attempting to use our CD disks in older systems. A PC with a processor speed of at least 1 GHz is recommended. A 16X speed CD drive or higher is also recommended. Using our CD disks in older, slow systems may result in poor video quality that may not be viewable. We normally include more than one video lesson on a single DVD or CD disk if you order more than one. This is done to keep shipping costs low. We do offer the option of keeping each lesson on a single disk if you prefer, and you may choose this option when you order but it will involve additional shipping costs. We do not shrink wrap (that tight-fitting layer of plastic wrap that you usually get on new DVD packages that's so hard to remove!) our DVD and CD cases simply because it helps us keep our prices low by not having to invest in the equipment needed to do it. So please do not think our DVD and CD disks are used due to lack of shrink wrapping. All our DVD and CD disks are brand new and have been tested here before they are shipped. |
