This great set makes the perfect gift. It's never too early to get started on those Christmas presents, and this is a good project to work on during the spring and summer because they are small items that won't be covering your lap as you are working on them and making you too warm.

To make the tote, you will create 8 large squares which are joined together to form the outside of the tote. There is also a full liner for this tote which makes it very sturdy and durable. The hat consists of a main body which is ringed with a strip of 7 Granny Squares that match the tote.

Stitches used for this project are the slip stitch, chain stitch, single crochet stitch and double crochet stitch.

All project videos are intended for people with some crochet experience. If you have already mastered the material in Beginner Volumes 1 and 3, you should be well prepared.

What you need:

Two 7 ounce (2) skeins of worsted weight acrylic yarn (each a different color), a size J crochet hook and a tapestry needle or large-eye needle for weaving in ends.
